Our Club

Each of our club Directors oversees key elements of our community services and strategic plan, supported by a working committee of club members, each assisting in an area that compliments their professional skills and career expertise.
Our club for instance has members with diverse career backgrounds including many fields of education, engineering, building and construction, nursing and health administration, retailing and sales.

Director: Pam H

Pam and our Secretary John Montgomery are responsible for handling all new Member enquiries, and assisting those interested in joining the Club to understand the benefits of being a Rotarian.

Pam also looks after the Welfare of members, and ensures that every person is warmly welcomed and feels valued for their contribution to our Rotary community.

Club Service

Director: Robin M

This directorship is the operational component of the club and ensures that we have a credible schedule of relevant and interesting guest speakers and that our meetings are structured to meet the time commitments and focus of our busy members.

We meet weekly for a sit-down dinner at Western Districts Rugby Union Club.  The Club Service director ensures that we have a team of supporters to meet and greet guests, and that there is time for valuable fellowship and interaction between members.
These meetings are enjoyed by all, and we believe that one of the reasons our club has such strong membership and successful projects is because of the friendships forged by meeting in a relaxed and convivial environment.

Director: Ross P

Ross is responsible for promoting recognition of the Rotary brand within the community, and building strong relationships with business and professional organisations to tap into their resources when needed.

He has established mutually advantageous relationships with the three tiers of Government, with local business, and with other community groups, especially within the medical and tertiary education sectors.

An important part of his role is securing funding for strategic rotary projects including grants for medical, nursing and allied health students to train in remote and regional areas.
